The Wallace F. Toronto Foundation’s Second Annual In-Country Service Project in Malejovice, Czech Republic 2008
On the third weekend in September 2008, Toronto Foundation supporters and more than 100 volunteers gathered for two days at the primary Klicek facility in Malejovice, Czech Republic to provide physical and financial assistance to the Klicek Foundation. The Klicek Foundation is a Prague based Czech non-profit committed to improving support, help, and care for seriously ill children and their families both in the hospital and at home. In particular, the Klicek Foundation supports parents caring for sick children by empowering them in their role as important members of a hospital’s care team. The Klicek Foundation also maintains a children’s hospice facility and summer camp for children suffering serious illness and their families. Toronto supporters and volunteers donated toys, building supplies, equipment, financial assistance, and hundreds of hours of volunteer work at the Klicek Foundation’s facility in Malejovice.
